A few of my favourite things

Hello there cyber friends,
This is just a quick post about a few of my favourite things which include:
1) Picnics with friends with delicious food and fun beverages
2) Flowers, lots and lots of flowers in every different shape and colour (But my favourite is pink and white)
3) Tea, I drink it everyday and can’t ever get enough…

These few things are what make me truly happy 🙂

Style icon

Everyone has a style icon. Mine are Mary-Kate and Ashley. There are constantly glamourous, yet maintain an effortlessly, cool appearance as well.

They usually wear neutral colours, or a just a block colour. They keep there usually over sized clothing simple. They are definitely never lacking accessories, from over sized rings to large bags, they always seem to keep it spot on.

Take me away

So, I’m heading off to Melbourne in a week. It’s just a local, quick trip to check out some of their current exhibitions, and of course, do a bit of shopping. The perfect plane outfit is always difficult to conquor as you need to wear something that is comfortable but each item also has to be easily suited for the rest of your lugguage.

I’m only heading down to melbourne for a week, so my luggage is limited. That means everything on the plane I will actually wear a few times over. It’s always good to stick with the basics, as basics will accompany for any outfit.

I have started with a great pair of country road jeans that are really flexible and comfortable, with a black and white stripped top (how could you go wrong.) For when it gets a bit chilly on the plane I have a grey jumper to put on if needed. I have chosen a bright orange bag to bring some colour into the equation with some cute, simple and comfortable ballet flats.

Winter is here.

Winter is here so it’s time to rug up in all your favourite layers and enjoy the cold. Now that it is uni holidays its give me some time to write some post, sleep-in a little and go relax at my favourite food locations.

I love fashion, but my true passion is probably food. I’m going to start incorporating more lifestyle pieces rather than just fashion.

So, for those early morning people, or people who spend their whole morning in bed but need an excuse to get out of bed, let me introduce you to balmoral boat shed. This cafe has been around for years, but has been rejuvenated and renewed in the last few months. It’s located right on balmoral beach and gives you a beautiful view to the harbour. Not only is the view and service exceptional, the food just compliments the whole experience.

I recommended everyone going down, even in the colder months they provide blankets to rug up.

Get Physical !

As previously mentioned I wrote an article about ‘Eat well, Be well’ where I discussed about looking after your body on the inside as it will reflect on the outside. A great way to do this is too do excerise. Exercise will not only enhance your physical body, but will motivate you to eat well and will also improve you mood.

Even if you just go for a small twenty minute walk when you can it improve your well being as it clears you mind, and releases those little happy hormones, endorphins. A great way to help you get motivated is to get your self some exercise gear (and you will feel guilty if you don’t us it). There is also this great little app called myFitnesspal which monitors how much you eat in comparison to how much exercise you do.

So as Olivia Newton-John said, “Let’s get physical.”
